Hiit 30 is the Hiit workout that comes with the Turbofire advanced set. It has 5 turbos, each is done twice except the last one which is done three times.

I think there are hi-lo punches (where you jump up while punching first high and then low) and tuck jumps in three of the five turbo–so if you don't like these moves, you won't like this work out!

There are running mans with knee smashes (one of my favorite moves), lots of jack variations, leaps, ski runs, squat jumps and sumo variations (including sumo burpees). There are some moves with slightly less impact as well, such as low punches to the ground (good core work) and Heisman's (which Chalene calls run-run-hold).

As with the other Hiit workouts, Chalene teaches the turbo moves before each turbo. Chalene just mimes the motions in the introductory section, but I tried to do them with medium intensity. If you want to up the intensity, you can actually do a full intensity Turbo during the instructional time once you know the moves.

This workout gets your heart-rate up. For comparison, it's not as intense as Cathe's Hiit 40/20, but it's close to the intensity of Cathe's 30/30 and Pyramid Wave Hiit workouts. Chalene has longer rest periods (I think it's a minute between each Turbo), and this reduces the "suck wind" factor (which could be a plus or a minus, depending on your goals).

The cool down stretch is almost 5 minutes, which seemed a bit long to me. I was ready for one or two more turbos before the end!

The workout is chaptered, so if you wanted to go back and repeat a Turbo that would be easy to do.

I did this in combination with Cathe's 40/20, so I was good and spent at the end!

Chalene is energetic, encouraging and professional. I enjoy her very much in this series.
