Leslie calls this a brisk-paced one mile workout. The walking runs about 16 minutes and then she does stretches for a few minutes after. There are 2 background exercisers (instructors from her studio) and this one is done on the st with the white-geometric tiled floor. She uses the walk away weights for upper body while the lower body is working. The workout seems to go quickly. It's her usual 4 moves plus kickbacks. Easy enough to up the intensity - I like to do skates instead of side steps, and there are quite a few kick in this one, which can be done as jump-kicks.

If you like Leslie (which I do) this is a nice addition to your collection. It's nothing new, but I find that varying the one-mile ones, keep them fun (you don't get bored of the same comments, people, sets, etc.)

Leslie is her usual pleasant self. She is a little chatty, but only talks to us -- she doesn't talk to the 2 background exercisers.

This is a great brisk walk, which comes in at a quick 20 minutes. It goes by really quickly, so it is great if you are having a motivation problem (as I often do). It would be a wonderful warm-up to another activity or good if you are short on time. I was surprised at how brisk the pace is and was equally surprised that I was already to the cooldown, when she started slowing down.

All-in-all I am happy with this. I don't know if I would have wanted to pay more than $6 or so for it (since it is so short), but I was given this as an SASE, so I am thrilled.

Leslie is chatty, perky, sweet and kind. I don't mind her chattiness at all.

This workout is one of three Leslie titles that has just been re-released on dvd as the "Power Series." This is the shortest of the three, clocking in at just under 20 minutes. Leslie works out with two background exercisers on a white-toned, bright set with some interesting perspective lines on the floor.

I am quite experienced with Leslie's workouts. I am a perpetual intermediate who had trouble with choreography and Leslie has been one of the few useable cardio options for me. Lately I have been wearing a heart rate monitor and have found that I can stay in my zone with Leslie as long as I keep the arm movements big and modify up the impact sometimes. I am happy to make these small adjustments and I continue to enjoy Leslie's routines.

For a workout that claims to be Leslie's most intense mile ever, the sedate and gentle warm-up went on about two minutes too long. But Leslie ups the pace fairly quickly to a nice brisk speed. I was able to stay in my heart rate zone without having to modify up the impact as I often do in Leslie's other tapes. She adds in weights at about 1/3 through and I was happy to see more than just shoulder presses here. I remember an an arm swing and some biceps curls among other moves.

This is definately much more intense than the one-mile workouts from the Walk Away the Pounds kits. I had hesitated before buying it because I felt a mile was too short. But following a day where I had not yet gotten a workout in, did not have time for something long, and just wanted to have something respectable to log, I purchased this on impulse and am pleased I did. It really IS an intense little routine. She brings in the weights quickly and keeps the pace high. 20 minutes later, it was done and I had burned 104 calories. I know that on my time-crunched days I will get good use out of this routine.

I really enjoy Leslie. She is very down to earth and motivating. I find all of her workouts manageable as far as the choreograpy and appreciate Leslie for making so many workouts I enjoy.

I did this workout in the early evening tonight and it fit the bill for what I wanted. Short and sweet but a good walk. The set on this one is the same as some of the other WATP "extra"(eg 30 minute walk, morning mile plus abs etc) workouts and the sound quality is lacking in this one, as it is in those others. On the step touches is seems the mike must be zipping back and forth from above because you can hear the air flowing past it! That is the only thing that bugs me about these extra WATP w/o’s - the production quality is not up to par as the regular WATP or WATP express ones.

But, that aside, it’s a change to do the one mile with more weighs in it and the pace is brisk. I got this workout through a trade so I’m happy - I don’t think I would have been happy if I had bought it though, it’s a better deal to get the 1 and 2 mile combo DVD. But, now that I have it I will use it on my short evening walks.

I like Leslie's style. She's 'real', encouraging and energetic.
