I was lucky enough to find a Si6 2-DVD set at a used book sale for just $3!  Although I had previously tried several of the Slim Series workouts and had found them to be somewhat boring, being the vidiot that I am, I couldn't pass up such a great deal. ;)  Plus, many had mentioned that Slim & Limber in particular was a great stretch workout.

Slim & Limber is a 14-minute stretching routine that is filmed in the same indoor studio as Debbie's other workouts.  Debbie leads two background exercisers, Tracy and Greg; she does not mirror cue.  Debbie wears sneakers for this routine and performs the majority of it (9 minutes) on the floor, focusing mainly on stretching the hamstrings and the inner thighs. For the final few minutes, she comes to a standing position and stretches the waist, upper body, and neck; in general, the stretches are held for an adequate length of time.

Overall, I'm not sure that this routine is deserving of rave reviews--I think I would still prefer to do Classical Stretch myself--but it is certainly a well-done athletic stretching routine performed in a short amount of time.

I have recently been trying to add more stretching recently, dabbling with beginner yoga tapes and finding that I prefer athletic stretch tapes more. This is a great short stretch that works the whole body in 15 minutes. I anticipate that I will reach for this tape often as it is thorough and short.

Debbie leads two background exercisers, but doesn't interact with them much at all. Her presentation is pretty straightforward and calm. She gives form pointers and modifications throughout. She does not mirror cue, but it is easy to follow her anyway.

I didn't even notice the music, so it must not have been objectionable, but it certainly wasn't memorable. The set is what I have come to think as the typical Slim Series/Slim in Six set.

She is warm and encouraging and calm.

For a stretch routine that clocks in at around 15 minutes - I can't get over how great and strecthed out I feel each time I do this one. It has been broken down fairly well by others so I will just add my 2 cents.

I am really impressed with the whole Slim in 6 program and particularly like this one, which is a "bonus workout". The set is gorgeous and very calming. I like the lighting and Debbie Siebers has the perfect voice and demeanor for a stretch and relaxation tape.

I try to stretch every night and I will definitely keep reaching for this one again and again. I haven't had it very long at this point and I can't believe how attached I am to it already. It may even take over as my favorite stretch tape (Tamilee Webb currently hold that honour...but for how long?)

This is my all-time favorite short stretch video. I must like it because I did it over 50 times last year! At just 14 minutes, it is perfect to add on to almost any workout. The session is mostly lying on the floor (which is a large part of it's charm for me!) Debbie stretches all muscle groups thoroughly. The stretches are held for long enough to really feel them. She emphasizes deep breathing during each stretch.

I also enjoy Debbie's longer stretch video, Slim Series: Cool It Off. But that one is rather long at 60 minutes. So, Slim & Limber is more useful to me.

This will sound unbelievable to any regular VFers who know me, but - I cannot find ANYTHING wrong with this workout!

Debbie is calm and relaxed in this workout. Friendly and encouraging as usual.
